Tim Foley

Tim Foley joined Athos Group after a successful career as a Special Agent and Senior Executive with the United States Secret Service and Director of Security for Spectra Energy, a Fortune 500 energy company. He serves as Athos’ Director of Risk Management Services, assisting corporate clients in important areas such as major construction project security management, security of physical assets, protection of key personnel and company brand, and special events and major venue security. His extensive experience in oil and gas pipeline and plant projects has made him a subject-matter expert for companies facing security and community relations challenges in their multi-billion dollar project investments.

Tim began his 23-year Secret Service career in 1987 in his hometown of Chicago. In 1993, he was selected to serve as an Agent/Attorney in the Secret Service’s Office of the Chief Counsel where he provided legal advice to the Director and senior staff and represented the Secret Service in court and Congressional hearings. In 1996, he returned to more traditional agent duties with the Presidential Protective Division where he developed and implemented security plans for the President and First Family at sites around the world. In 2001, he was promoted to the position of Special Agent in Charge of the Office of the Chief Counsel. In 2004, Tim was transferred to Houston, where he was selected for appointment to the federal government’s Senior Executive Service and assigned as the Special Agent in Charge of the U.S. Secret Service Houston Field District.
